'THE FOUR NOBLE TRUTHS'. Teaching from His Eminence the 7th Yongzin LING RINPOCHE

When the Buddha gave the first public sermon, known as the First Turning of the Wheel of Dharma, the main theme upon which the Buddha taught was the teachings of The Four Noble Truths. This is the foundation of the Buddha's teachings. In the first set of teachings the Buddha makes the statement, "this is the truth of suffering, this is the truth of the origin of suffering, this is the truth of its cessation and this is the truth of the path that leads to the cessation." In this first set of statements the Buddha defines "what the truths of existence are". Over two session His Eminence will teach this profound foundation of Buddhist philosophy.
